LOWING, Henry Dyer, a Representative from Crawford County; born, May 29, 1827 in Gainsville, Wyoming County, NY; attended, Kingsville Academy (2 years); chaplain, Company S, 154th Regiment, New York Volunteer Infantry (1862-1864, Civil War); minister (1856-1903); proprietor, Linesville Herald (1871-1875); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1879 and 1881 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1883 term; died, November 9, 1903 in Linesville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Conneaut Center Cemetery, Conneautville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania.
