LERCH, Abraham W., a Representative from Northampton County; born, October 10, 1814 in Allen Township, Northampton County, Pa.; farmer; proprietor, Lerch & Co., dry goods merchant; appointed, vice president, Northampton County Democratic Whig Committee (1846); elected, justice of the peace; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1878 and 1880; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1882); slate manufacturer; scrivener and surveyor; director, Allentown National Bank; died, September 23, 1898 in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania; interred, Zion Stone Church Cemetery, Kreidersville, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
