McCORMICK, James Shaw, a Representative from Montour County; born, June 26, 1818 in Washingtonville, Montour County, Pa.; educated in common schools; colonel of militia; Insurance agent; coal merchant; retail hardware merchant; operated, stage line from Danville; conducted an omnibus line; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1877, 1878 and 1883 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1885 term; died, December 19, 1891 in Montour County, Pennsylvania; interred, Fairview Cemetery, Danville, Montour County, Pennsylvania.
