BRAHAM, William Patton, Sr., a Representative from Butler County; born, January 6, 1824 in Hickory Township, Lawrence County, Pa.; farmer; stock broker; engaged, oil business; purchasing agent, United States Army (Civil War); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1881 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1882); unsuccessful Prohibition candidate, United States Congress (1890); died, August 27, 1907 in Coraopolis, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Harmony Cemetery, Harrisville, Butler County, Pennsylvania.
