WHITE, Alexander H., a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, February 16, 1848 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; private, Company D, 141st Regiment, New York Volunteer Infantry (1862-1865, Civil War); cigar manufacturer; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1883 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1885 term; clerk; died, December 2, 1891 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Fernwood Cemetery, Fernwood, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
