VANDERSLICE, Thomas Jefferson, a Representative from Columbia County; born, February 17, 1845 in Buck Horn, Columbia County, Pa.; attended, Greenwood Seminary; private, Company I, 136th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1863, Civil War); farmer; printer; attorney-at-law (1876-1913); elected, treasurer, Bloomsburg; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1878; reelected to the House for 2 more consecutive terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1884); postmaster, United States Postal Service, Bloom, Ks. (1886-1887); elected, probate judge, Ford County, Ks.(1887-1888); died, December 20, 1913 in Bloomsburg, Columbia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Old Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg, Columbia County, Pennsylvania.
