ROHRER, Dr. Jacob A., a Representative from Blair County; born, August 11, 1838 in Belleville, Mifflin County, Pa.; attended, Lewistown Academy; dentist (1860-1909); private, Company D, 131st Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1863, Civil War); apprentice, saddelry; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1882; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1884); elected, treasurer, Blair County (1906-1907); died, May 21, 1909 in Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania; interred, Alexandria Presbyterian Cemetery, Alexandria, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania.
