PARKHILL, John, a Representative from Allegheny County; born, August 22, 1842 in Ireland; attended, Iron City Commercial College; machinist; superintendent, Smith, Sutton & Company Steel Works; elected, common council, Allegheny City (1876-1879); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1880 and 1882; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1884); elected, tax collector, Pittsburgh; died, April 27, 1929 in Blue Island, Cook County, Illinois; interred, Uniondale Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
