MORGAN, Alexander H., a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, November 6, 1821 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; machinist; railroad engineer, Norris Locomotive Works; locomotive engineer, Havana Railroad Company; patent and pension solicitor; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1882; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1884); died, October 24, 1909 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mount Vernon Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
