McDONALD, Joseph, a Representative from Cambria County; born, January 21, 1822 in Ebensburg, Cambria County, Pa.; attended, Georgetown University; attorney-at-law; elected, prothonotary and register and recorder, and clerk of courts, Cambria County (1845-1848); elected, prothonotary and clerk of Quarter Sessions and clerk of Oyer and Terminer, Cambria County (1856-1864); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1883 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1885 term; died, October 26, 1901 in Cumberland, Allegany County, Maryland; interred, Old Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg, Cambria County, Pennsylvania.
