HOGUE, Nicholas, a Representative from Alleghany County; born, June 4, 1843 in Etna, Allegheny County, Pa.; graduated, Duff’s College (now Everest Institute), 1863; school teacher; farmer; elected, assessor, auditor and justice of the peace, Baldwin Township; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1882; not a candidate for reelection (1884); died, June 28, 1930 in Baldwin Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Zion Cemetery, Whitehall, Alleghany County, Pennsylvania.
