HARRIS, James Alison, a Representative from Fulton County; born, September 29, 1832 in Spring Tannery, Fulton County, Pa.; engaged in tanning and fishing industries; elected, auditor, Fulton County (1 term); elected, commissioner, Fulton County (1870-1873); justice of the peace (25 years); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1882; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1884); died, January 30, 1895 in Saluvia, Fulton County, Pennsylvania; interred, Green Hill Presbyterian Cemetery, Green Hill, Fulton County, Pennsylvania.
