FRY, Herman Conrad, a Representative from Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties; born, August 7, 1827 in Northampton County, Pa.; bricklayer; construction contractor; elected, city council, Wilkes-Barre (1864-1867, 1871-1877); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1880 and 1882; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1884); founder and co-owner, H.C. Fry & Sons, bricklayers and contractors; died, May 15, 1891 in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania; interred, Hollenback Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
