(1861-1878); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1880 and 1882; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1884); elected, burgess, Macungie; director, Emmaus National Bank; died, November 30, 1918 in Macungie, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania; interred, Macungie Baptist Church Cemetery, Macungie, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
