EMERY, Dr. John N., a Representative from Lawrence County; born, August 31, 1836 in New Castle, Lawrence County, Pa.; musician, 100th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1861-1862, Civil War); dentist; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1881 and 1883 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1885 term; partner, Patterson and Emery, automobile dealers; died, April 5, 1912 in New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania; interred, Greenwood Cemetery, New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.
