DUGGAN, Thomas J., a Representative from Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties; born, July of 1856 in Ireland; attended, St. Bonaventure College (now St. Bonaventure University); teacher; attorney-at-law; clerk, prothonotary’s office, Lackawanna County; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1882; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1884); elected, burgess, Dunmore (1892-1894); elected, solicitor, Dunmore (1893-1894); unsuccessful campaign, burgess, Dunmore (1894); elected, delegate, Democratic State Convention (1894); unsuccessful campaign, District Attorney, Lackawanna County (1897); died, August 1, 1905 in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mount Carmel Cemetery, Dunmore, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.
