DUKES, N. Lyman, a Representative from Fayette County; born, April 12, 1850 in Findlay, Hancock County, Oh.; attended, California Normal School (now Pennsylvania Western University, California); attended, Washington and Jefferson College; graduated, Princeton University, 1873; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1883 term; resigned from the House prior to taking the oath of office, March 26, 1883; died, June 14, 1883 in Uniontown, Fayette County, Pennsylvania; interred, Church Hill Cemetery, Wilkins Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
