BLAUM, Kevin, a Representative from Luzerne County; born in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pa., June 4, 1952; graduated, James M. Coughlin High School, 1970; B.S., education/political science, University of Scranton, 1974; teacher (1975-1980); elected, council, Wilkes-Barre (1976-1981); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1981 term; reelected to serve 12 more consecutive terms; elected, Minority Caucus Secretary (2005-2006); appointed, Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (1987-1996; chair, 1991-1994); appointed, Select Committee on Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Services in Pennsylvania (1990); appointed, House Select Committee on Violence (1994); not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 2007 term; teacher and associate director of admissions, Wyoming Seminary (2006-2021); columnist, Wilkes-Barre Times Leader (2008-2021).
