(1858-1862); elected, coroner, Wyoming County (1862, 1872); elected, delegate, Wyoming County Democratic Convention (1867); elected, justice of the peace, Northmoreland Township (1870-1880); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1882; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1884); died, April 20, 1904 in Mount Vernon, Westchester County, New York; interred, Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, Chemung County, New York.
