BREAM, Rueben William, a Representative from Adams County; born, April 10, 1850 near Gettysburg, Adams County, Pa.; engaged in milling business (1876-1892); farmer; traveling salesman, fertilizer manufacturing firm; lay member, board of directors, Gettysburg Lutheran Theological Seminary (1877-1938); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1882; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1884); elected, school director, Highland Township; member, board of directors, Gettysburg College (1901-1938); cashier, Citizens’ Bank of Gettysburg (1901-1903); treasurer (1904-1909) and secretary and trust officer (1910-1932), Gettysburg Trust Company; died, January 29, 1938 in Gettysburg, Adams County, Pennsylvania; interred, Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg, Adams County, Pennsylvania.
