BIGLER, Dr. William Brooks, a Representative from York County; born, October 6, 1833 in Fairview Township, York County, Pa.; M.D., Jefferson Medical College (now Sidney Kimmel Medical College), 1865; corporal, Company A, 1st Regiment, Pennsylvania Emergency Militia (1862, Civil War); farmer;  miller; teacher, White Hall Academy; physician; president, school board; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1882; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1884); died, April 1, 1915 in Dallastown, York County, Pennsylvania; interred, New Harmony Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Brogue, York County, Pennsylvania.
