STUBBS, Theodore Kirk, a Representative from Chester County; born, June 8, 1847 in Nottingham Township, Chester County, Pa.; attended, Oxford Academy, Hyatt’s Military School, and University of Michigan; farmer; merchant; postmaster, United States Postal Service (1869-1877); lawyer (1875-1911); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1880, 1882, and 1884; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1886); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1888); elected, burgess, Oxford (1895-1911); died, December 4, 1911 in Oxford, Chester County, Pennsylvania; interred, Brick Meeting House Cemetery, Calvert, Cecil County, Maryland.
