SNODGRASS, Robert M., a Representative from Allegheny County; born, May of 1836 in Washington County, Pa.; quartermaster, 38th Regiment, 9th Pennsylvania Volunteer Reserves (1861-1864, Civil War); druggist; elected, council, Pittsburgh (1869-1870); appointed, assistant city controller, Pittsburgh (1872-1873); elected, controller, Pittsburgh (1874-1879); appointed, deputy sheriff, Pittsburgh; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1882 and 1884; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1886); engaged, real estate business; elected, judge of elections, Edgewood (1890); died, February 9, 1897 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Homewood Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
