SHERMAN, Charles W., a Representative from Schuylkill County; born, April 30, 1853 in Scotland, Franklin County, Pa.; clerk; proprietor, C.W. Sherman & Co., grocery and general merchandise store; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Tower City, Pa. (1877-1885); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1884; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1886); died, December 15, 1891 in Tremont, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Fayetteville, Franklin County, Pennsylvania.
