SCHNATTERLY, Thomas Benton, a Representative from Fayette County; born, July 13, 1841 in New Geneva, Fayette County, Pa.; attended, George’s Creek Academy; attended, Mason Institute; graduated, Waynesburg College; lawyer (1864-1899); elected, District Attorney, Fayette County (1865-1868); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1870, 1871, 1877, 1878 and 1885 terms; contractor, Southwest Pennsylvania Railroad (1871-1872, 1882-1889); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1879-1882, 1887-1890); editor and publisher, Uniontown Jeffersonian Democrat (1889-1891); died, March 31, 1899 in Fayette County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oak Grove Cemetery, Uniontown, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.
