NORRIS, John H., a Representative from Clearfield County; born, March 26, 1840 in Clearfield County, Pa.; first sergeant, Company K, 42nd Regiment, “Bucktails,” Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1861-1864, Civil War); second lieutenant, Company H, 190th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1864-1865, Civil War; captured); carpenter and joiner; engaged, lumber business; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1885 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1887 term; died, February 23, 1920 in Curwensville, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania.
