GIAMMARCO, Henry J., Sr., a Representative from Philadelphia County; born on July 26, 1923 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; B.A., industrial relations, St. Joseph’s College; special education courses, The Pennsylvania State University; cook and medical attendent, United States Army (1941-1945, World War II); manager, supermarket (1945-1950); business agent, United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 1776 (1950-1970); 1st vice chair, 41st Ward Democratic Executive Committee; United Labor Committee for Jim Tate (1967); Labor for Humphrey (1968); Eilberg for Congress (1968); Berger and Peruto campaigns (1969); labor coordinator: Green for Congress (1970 and 1972); labor coordinator, Rizzo for Mayor (1971); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1974, 1976 and 1978; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1980); officer, Philadelphia Municpal Court (1981-1990); died, October 28, 2004 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
