HOWELL, Howell, a Representative from Bradford County; born, December 10, 1826 in Wales, United Kingdom; attended, Wilkes-Barre Academy; first sergeant, Company H, 15th Regiment, New York Engineers (1864-1865, Civil War); farmer; elected, justice of the peace (15 years); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1884; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1886); elected, school director (9 years); died, February 10, 1897 in Neath, Bradford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Neath Cemetery, Pike Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.
