PYLES, LaVern, Jr. “Vern,” a Representative from Montgomery County; born in Washington, DC, May 17, 1919; graduated, McKinley High School; B.S., civil engineering, Clemson University, 1943; commander, United States Navy (1942-1967); civil engineer; vice president, Total Engineering, Inc.; chair, Upper Dublin Township Republican Committee; member, Montgomery County Committee; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1975, 1977, and 1979 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1981 term; died, June 20, 2013 in Lansdale, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia
