CROMER, John Jerimiah, “Jere,” a Representative from Fulton County; born, July 8, 1841 in Mercersburg, Franklin County, Pa.; first sergeant, Company F, 49th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1861-1864, Civil War); iron molder and founder; school director, Dublin Township, Fulton County; doorkeeper, Pennsylvania Senate (1873-1874); sergeant-at-arms, Pennsylvania State Senate (1877-1878); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1884; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1886); died, February 28, 1894 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Fort Littleton Cemetery, Fort Littleton, Fulton County, Pennsylvania.
