BOYER, John Garner, a Representative from Huntingdon County; born, February 29, 1836 near Marklesburg, Huntingdon County, Pa.; farmer; school director, Marklesburg and Huntingdon; proprietor, general store; postmaster, United States Postal Service, James Creek, Pa.; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1884; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1886); died, April 1, 1899 in Huntingdon, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania; interred, Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania.
