VOGDES, William Hayman, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born in Willistown, Chester County, Pa., August 25, 1812; attended, Chester County Academy; farmer; cattleman; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1872, 1873, 1874, 1875 and 1876 terms; reelected to the House for the 1881,1883, 1885 and 1887 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1889 term; died, October 23, 1908 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois; interred, Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
