OSBORN, Thomas, Jr., a Representative from Erie County; born, October 12, 1846 in England; attended, Northwest State Normal School (now Pennsylvania Western University, Edinboro), 1865-1866; corporal, Company B, 145th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1865, Civil War); teacher; school superintendent, Millcreek Township (1869-1870); engaged, mercantile business; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Lundy’s Lane, Pa. (1872-1884); elected, delegate, Pennsylvania State Republican Convention (1880); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania State House of Representatives for the 1885 and 1887 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1889 term; died, March 26, 1904 in Lundy’s Lane, Erie County, Pennsylvania; interred, Hope Cemetery, Cranesville, Erie County, Pennsylvania.
