HARDENBERGH, Edmund Burnham, a Representative from Wayne County; born, July 31, 1846 in Wilsonville, Pike County, Pa.; attended, Wyoming Seminary, Kingston, Pa.; attended, Normal School at Palmyra, NY; attended, Eastman’s Business School, NY; brakeman, baggage master and passenger conductor, New York, Lake Erie and Western Railroad Company; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1884 and 1886; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1888); elected, chair, Republican County Committee (1891-1892); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1894-1901); elected, Pennsylvania Auditor General (1901-1905); elected, board president, State Hospital of the Northern Anthracite Coal Regions (1911-1919); director, Honesdale National Bank; president, Citizen Publishing Company; died, April 5, 1919 in Honesdale, Wayne County, Pennsylvania; interred, Walnut Grove Cemetery, Hawley, Wayne County, Pennsylvania.
