DICKS, William Howard, a Representative from Adams County; born, September 13, 1842 in Adams County, Pa.; attended, Oxford College, New Oxford, Pa.; school teacher; engaged in farming and stock-raising; elected, auditor, Adams County (1875-1878); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1886; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1888); elected, associate judge, Adams County (1911-1921); died, November 16, 1922 in Reading, Adams County, Pennsylvania; interred, Hampton Union Cemetery, Hampton, Adams County, Pennsylvania.
