CRAIGHEAD, Samuel Judson, a Representative from Indiana County; born, December 5, 1834 in Washington County, Pa.; graduated, Jefferson College (now Washington & Jefferson College), 1858; farmer; school teacher (20 years); school principal; elected, superintendent, Indiana County (1878-1884); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1887 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1889 term; died, July 4, 1901 in Indiana, Indiana County, Pennsylvania; interred, Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana, Indiana County, Pennsylvania.
