CHRITZMAN, Dr. Henry G., a Representative from Franklin County; born, November 22, 1837 in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pa.; attended, Pennsylvania College (now Gettysburg College); M.D., Pennsylvania Medical College, Philadelphia, 1859; assistant surgeon, 89th Regiment, 8th Pennsylvania Volunteer Cavalry (1863-1864, Civil War); major, surgeon, 57th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1864-1865, Civil War); brigade surgeon, Second Brigade, 3rd Division, II Army Corps (1865, Civil War); physician; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1874); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1884 and 1886; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1888); died, August 10, 1909 in Montgomery Township, Franklin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle, Franklin County, Pennsylvania.
