CHASE, John H., a Representative from Potter County; born, February 14, 1830 in Milo, Yates County, NY; sergeant, Company I, 189th Regiment, New York Volunteer Infantry (1864-1865, Civil War); farmer; proprietor, mercantile business; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1886; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1888); died, November 27, 1903 in Potter County, Pennsylvania; interred, Ulysses Cemetery, Ulysses, Potter County, Pennsylvania.
