CARPENTER, Anson G., a Representative from Wyoming County; born, June 17, 1834 in Clinton Township, Wyoming County, Pa.; first lieutenant, Company B, 132nd Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1863, Civil War); captain, Company G, 13th Regiment, Pennsylvania National Guard (1880-1883); farmer; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1886; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1888); died, July 4, 1894 in Factoryville, Wyoming County, Pennsylvania; interred, Evergreen Woodlawn Cemetery, Factoryville, Wyoming County, Pennsylvania.
