CALHOUN, Dr. Christopher Patterson, a Representative from Bedford County; born, July 9, 1842 in Clearville, Bedford County, Pa.; attended, Allegheny Seminary; attended, Albany Medical College, 1866-1867; M.D., Cincinnati College of Medicine and Surgery, 1873; first lieutenant, Company F, 138th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1865, Civil War); physician; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1885 and 1887 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1889 term; elected, Bedford School Board; died, May 18, 1902 in Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mount Union Christian Church Cemetery, Mench, Bedford County, Pennsylvania.
