APPLE, Andrew G., a Representative from Crawford County; born in Easton, Northampton County, Pa., October 26, 1837; attended, Clarion Collegiate Institute (now Pennsylvania Western University); engaged, milling; proprietor, flouring mill (15 years); elected, justice of peace, Cochrantown; school director, Cochrantown; elected, sheriff, Crawford County (1878-1881); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1886; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1888); engaged, newspaper trade, Washington, DC; died, March 13, 1906 in Washington, District of Columbia; interred, Rock Creek Cemetery, Washington, District of Columbia.
