ROSE, John Marshall, a Representative from Cambria County; born, May 18, 1856 in Johnstown, Cambria County, Pa.; graduated, Washington and Jefferson College, 1880; school teacher and principal; attorney-at-law (1884-1923); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1889 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1891 term; elected, United States Congress (1917-1923); died, April 22, 1923 in Washington, District of Columbia; interred, Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown, Cambria County, Pennsylvania.
