KRATZ, Cornelius Tyson, a Representative from Montgomery County; born, August 11, 1850 in Lower Providence Township, Montgomery County, Pa.; attended, Freeland Seminary (now Ursinus University); attended, Lafayette College; teacher (1869-1873); lawyer (1874-1916); farmer; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1888; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1890); elected, delegate, National Republican Convention (1912); gubernatorial appointee, Pennsylvania Coal Commission (1916); died, July 18, 1916 in Norristown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery, Collegeville, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
