Bruner’s Academy, Reading; attended, Keystone State Normal School (now Kutztown University of Pennsylvania); teacher (16 years); justice of the peace (6 years); constable (7 years); elected, judge of elections (1 year); assistant postmaster, United States Postal Service (1 year); store clerk (2 years); director, W.M.A. and Fire Company (6 years); surveyor and conveyancer; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1886 and 1888; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1890); postmaster, United States Postal Service, Shartlesville (1893); janitor, Berks County court house; employed, warehouse, Detroit; died, December 23, 1911 in Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Michaels Cemetery, Tilden Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
