GARRETT, Isaac Price, a Representative from Delaware County; born, August 4, 1844 in Stanton, New Castle County, De.; attended, Westtown Academy; farmer; elected, school director, Upper Darby Township; elected, delegate, Delaware County Republican Convention; elected, supervisor, Upper Darby Township (1876-1881); elected to the Pennsylvania  House of Representatives as a Republican in a Special Election, October 27, 1881; unsuccessful campaign  for reelection to the House (1882); reelected to the House in 1888; resigned from the House, December 1, 1889; appointed, assistant cashier, United States Customs Service, Philadelphia (1889-1894); postmaster, United States Postal Service, Lansdowne (1897-1914, 1921-1923); died, February 19, 1923 in Lansdowne, Delaware County, Pennsylvania; interred, Friends Southwestern Burial Ground, Upper Darby, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
