FOIGHT, John George, a Representative from Westmoreland County; born, November 28, 1842 in Franklin Township (now Murrysville), Westmoreland County, Pa.; private, Battery F, 204th Regiment, 5th Pennsylvania Heavy Artillery (1864-1865, Civil War); dairy farmer; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1889 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1891 term; organizer and director, First National Bank of Export; died, August 5, 1928 in Penn Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Woodlawn Cemetery, Export, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
