ERNST, Bruno, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, December 31, 1840 in Germany; cigar manufacturer; tobacco dealer; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1884 and 1888, unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1886); died while in office, September 13, 1890 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Northwood Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
