CULVER, Lafayette Jayne, a Representative from Bradford County; born, May 23, 1831 in Sheshequin, Bradford County, Pa.; farmer; employed, flour mill (1 year); elected, justice of the peace, Bradford County (1870); sugar-cane farmer, United States Department of Agriculture (1881); tobacco farmer; sheep and horse breeder; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1888; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1890); died, March 6, 1909 in Sheshequin, Bradford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Hornbrook Cemetery, Hornbrook, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.
