BOGGS, Robert Irwin, a Representative from Butler County; born, October 18, 1828 in Evans City, Butler County, Pa.; captain, Company E, 78th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1865, Civil War); farmer; teacher; appointed, assistant revenue assessor; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1889 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1890); died, February 26, 1900 in Zelienople, Butler County, Pennsylvania; interred, English Lutheran Church Cemetery, Zelienople Butler County, Pennsylvania.
