BEAN, Theodore Weber, a Representative from Montgomery County; born, May 14, 1833 in Norristown, Montgomery County, Pa.; lieutenant colonel, Company L, 166th Regiment, 17th Pennsylvania Volunteer Cavalry (1862-1865, Civil War); blacksmith; mechanic; lawyer (1869-1891); commissioned, justice of the peace (1866); deputy escheator, Montgomery County (1870); notary public (1871-1888); solicitor to the treasurer, Montgomery County (1872-1877); solicitor, Norristown (1880); solicitor, sheriff’s office, Montgomery County (1880-1884); gubernatorial appointee, State Commission on Industrial Education (1887-1888); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1888; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1890); died, January 20, 1891 in Norristown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Montgomery Cemetery, West Norriton, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
